I started NIGHT in 2015 after working in the bedding industry for over a decade. I had a realization that every product I had touched for ten whole years was just…ok. Nothing blew me away. When you consider that you spend 1/3 of your life in bed sleeping, this is not only surprising, but very disappointing. I let go of every preconceived notion of what a pillow should look like and started from scratch. After years of research, the NIGHT Pillow was born. This was our only product for the first few years. Flash forward to today, NIGHT offers a wide variety of luxurious beauty textiles, including our most recent best seller, the 100% Mulberry Silk Face Mask.

Q: What time do you wake up or does the alarm go off ?

A: That depends on what time I’ve gone to bed the night before ; ) I try to be consistent with bedtimes and waking up because I know this is great for your sleep cycles...but the weekends allow me to pay back some of the sleep debt that I incurred during the weekly grinds.

Q: What is your morning routine (specifically the first 15)

A: Sundays are the day of rest for me so I take my time getting out-of-bed and don’t accomplish too much in the first 15 minutes. The only real rule I have on Sunday mornings (which I also have on every other morning) is to not look at my phone until after my bed is made.

Q: What is your Sunday mantra?

A: Good vibes only. Sundays are all about preparing for the week ahead and I’m a big believer your vibes/mood are the foundation for everything else.

Q: What’s your go to breakfast/brunch?

A: I allow myself to indulge a bit on Sundays and typically mix it up, but lately been loving an egg scramble and lots and lots of coffee!

Q: Do you give yourself any Sunday self-care treatments?

A: Our NIGHT Silk Sheet Mask is my Sunday self-care go-to. So easy (easy beauty is key for me) and my skin feels great after. And, if I’m in need it’s always my mani/pedi day.

Q: What song is a good representation of your Sunday?

A: Hmm. “Everything I Am” by Kanye West came to mind. The beat is so chill and comfortable and the message of accepting yourself flaws and all helps fight those Sunday scaries.

Q: How has your Sunday routine changed over the years?

A: My Sundays now are VERY different. They were usually spent recovering from having too much fun all weekend or I would keep the fun going with a “sunday funday.”  Now I really use Sunday as a day to mentally and physically gear up for the week. Start up life is a grind - it is extremely draining so I find that I really need to be in a good headspace going into Monday morning.

Q: Do you exercise?

A: Yes! Love my Peloton during the week. But, a long run in Central Park is my Sunday go to.

Q: Do you like to spend your Sunday alone or with family/friends?

A: I’m big on ‘me time’ on Sundays. I recharge best by myself, but I do occasionally cook a Sunday night dinner and invite over family or friends.

Q: Do you use any apps or products for relaxation?

A: I’m pretty obsessed with the Nike Run Club app. It has a mindful series with the founder of headspace that made me actually look forward to runs because it melts stress. And I've used the calm app a good bit over the last year. I loved the Lebron James series on mental fitness.

Q: What is your ideal bedtime?

A: Ideal...11 PM. Actual...2 AM? Working on this!

Q: What are some of your favorite Sunday activities?

A: Exercise, reading, grocery shopping, cooking a healthy dinner and a couple glasses of red wine.

Q: How do you prepare for the week ahead?

A: I’m big on reviewing my calendar for the week on Sundays and thinking through what’s coming up. I usually send my weekly project list by Sunday night to my support person since we review it every Monday morning. Making the project list forces me to go ahead and set priorities for the week so I have clear intentions going into a new week.  And I almost always get at least a few hours of work in on Sunday so I feel like I’m going into the week playing offense and not defense.
